Anti-Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor (CNTF), clone 2Q35

Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor (CNTF) is a potent neural factor that was originally characterized as a survivability factor for chick ciliary neurons in vitro. More recently, CNTF has been shown to promote survivability and differentiation of other neuronal cell types. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 10-20ug/ml on frozen sections of rat sciatic nerve perfused and counter-fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde., Western Blot: 10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
