Anti-Chk1 (CHEK1, Cell Cycle Checkpoint Kinase)

CHK1 has an important role at the G2 checkpoint in the cell cycle. CHK1 is activated in response to DNA damage, and serves to phosphorylate Cdc25, which results in cell cycle arrest. Recent studies suggest that CHK1 may also play a role in the S phase checkpoint. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000. Band at ~56kD, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Controls: Western Blot: MDA231, HeLa and 293 cell lysates, Immunohistochemistry: Breastcarcinoma tissue, , Storage and Stability:, May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
