Anti-CD9 (Motility-Related Protein-1) (Biotin)

Human CD9 is strongly expressed on platelets, on early B cells and on activated T cells. CD9 is a member of the tetraspan family crossing the membrane four times. Both the N-terminal and C-terminal regions are on the cytoplasmic side of the plasma membrane. Recent studies indicate CD9 may be involved with calcium mobilization. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 5ug/ml, 80ul labels 5x10e5 cultured Nalm-6 cells., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. Five x 10e5 cultured Nalm-6 cells were washed and incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80ul of C2260-06C at 5ug/ml. , 2. Cells were then washed twice and incubated 45 minutes with S7973-88P Streptavidin (PE), after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. , 3. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 2.48 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1/Biotin negative control at a similar concentration. , 4. Binding was blocked when pre incubated 10 minutes with 20ul of 0.5mg/ml C2260-06B. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap..
