CD55, also known as DAF (decay accelerating factor), is expressed on the surfaces of red blood cells, hematopoietic cells and many non-hemotopietic cells. There are two isoforms of mouse CD55, a GPI-anchored isofrom and a transmembrane isoform. Both are recognized by this monoclonal antibody. The function of CD55 is to protect damage by complement deposition. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: <0.25ug/10e6 cells in 100ul volume, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
