CD45 is a receptor-tyrosine phosphatase required for antigen-induced signaling in T-cells and B-cells, its substrates are unknown. Interestingly, it associates with several Src-family tyrosine kinases, which are inhibited by tyrosine phosphorylation in their c-termini, suggesting a mechanism for signaling by CD45. The LCA comprises of at least 5 isoforms ranging from 180-220kD which are produced as a result of alternative splicing of exons A, B or C. Hybridoma: NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Positive Control: Jurkat cell lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
