Product information "Anti-CD4 (Tac antigen, p55, Interleukin 2 Receptor alpha, IL2Ra, T Cell Growth Factor Receptor), FIT"
Rat CD4 cell surface glycoprotein is a 55kD molecule expressed by helper T cells and weakly by monocytes. Monoclonal antibodies clustered as CD4 detect most thymocytes and a subpopulation of peripheral blood T cells, called T helper cells (Th). In addition, CD4 is expressed on monocytes and macrophages. The CD4 antigen is a 55kD glycoprotein which plays a role in the recognition of foreign antigens presented to T cells by MHC class II molecules. Furthermore, CD4 acts as a receptor for HIV-1 by binding the viral protein gp120. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Neat-1:10, Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul., Optimal dilution determined by the researcher, Hybridoma: Spleen cells from immunized BALB/c mouse were fused with cells of the mouse NS-1 myeloma cell line. Recommended Negative Controls: I1904-78X IgG1 Murine Negative Control (For rat tissue) (FITC), Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. , Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
