Anti-CD4 (Tac antigen, p55, Interleukin 2 Receptor alpha, IL2Ra, T Cell Growth Factor Receptor), Bio

CD4 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on approximately 70% of thymocytes, 15% of spleen cells and 40% of peripheral blood lymphocytes, but <1% of bursal cells. This antibody inhibits both PHA- and Con A-induced proliferative responses of splenocytes, and PWM-induced IL-2 production. Also reacts with turkey CD4 as demonstrated by flow cytometry and immunoprecipitation/Western blotting. Applications:  Flow cytometry 1,  Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) 2,  Immunoprecipitation 1,  Inhibition of mitogen-induced proliferation 1, Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: < 1ug/10e6 cells, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
