CD4 cell surface glycoprotein is a ~55kD molecule expressed by helper T cells and weakly by monocytes. This antibody inhibits proliferation and IL-2 production in the MLR reaction. Routinely tested in flow cytometry on rat splenocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin) and Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1:100-1:200, use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): PLP fixation is recommended , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: NS-1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
