Anti-CD26 (Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV, DPPIV)

CD26 is also known as dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP IV) and adenosine deaminase (ADA)-binding protein. It is an atypical serine protease belonging to the prolyl oligopeptidase family. It is expressed on lymphocyte cells. It is upregulated during T-cell activation. CD26 is also expressed on activated B cells, natural killer cells and abundantly on epithelia. CD26 is implicated in a variety of biological functions including T-cell activation, cell adhesion with extracellular matrix such as fibronectin or collagens, and in HIV infection. Cross-linking of CD26 using this antibody dramatically enhances the anti-CD3-induced IL-2 production. Antibody does not prevent ADA binding to CD26. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 1:20, Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections. , Alkaline phosphatase-anti-alkaline-phosphatase (APAAP), or peroxidase anti-peroxidase (PAP), or the three stage immunoperoxidase technique on acetone-fixed cryostat section is recommended., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
