CD147, also known as neurothelin or basigin, is a member of the Ig superfamily. It is a 55-65kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein which is primarily expressed on leukocytes, erythrocytes, platelets, and endothelial cells. CD147 is reported to have a function during embryonal brain development and/or play a role in integrin-mediated adhesion in brain endothelia. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: <0.5ug/10e6 cells in 100ul volume or 100ul whole blood, Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 0.5-10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
