Anti-CD104 (CD104 Antigen, Integrin beta-4, Integrin beta4, ITGB4, AA407042, C230078O20)

CD104 is a 205kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein, known as integrin b4 chain or b4 integrin, that associates with integrin a6 (CD49f) forms a6/b4 (CD49f/CD104) heterodimer. CD104 is expressed on epithelial cells (especially on the proliferative basal layer epithelial cells in skin), endothelial cells, Schwann cells, certain tumor cells and a subset of pre-T cells. CD49f/CD104 is an adhesion receptor for laminins (especially laminin 5) and keratin filaments and is involved in the regulation of hemidesmosome formation and of cell proliferation and activation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: <0.25ug/10e6 cells in 100ul volume, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
