Product information "Anti-CBX3 (Chromobox Protein Homolog 3, HECH, Heterochromatin Protein 1 Homolog gamma, HP1 gamma, Mo"
At the nuclear envelope, the nuclear lamina and heterochromatin are adjacent to the inner nuclear membrane. The protein encoded by this gene binds DNA and is a component of heterochromatin. This protein also can bind lamin B receptor, an integral membrane protein found in the inner nuclear membrane. The dual binding functions of the encoded protein may explain the association of heterochromatin with the inner nuclear membrane. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein but differing in the 5' UTR, have been found for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:32,000, Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 2-3ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: A431 Cell Lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
