Product information "Anti-CBP, p300 (CREB Binding Protein, Histone Acetyl Transferase) (BSA & azide free), clone 3F310"
p300 is a transcriptional adapter protein which is characterized by three cysteine-and histidine-rich regions and its C-terminus specifically binds the adenovirus E1A protein. p300, and p300-associated proteins, are components of TATAbinding protein (TBP) complexes. Protein kinase A mediated CREB phosphorylation results in the binding of CREB to a 265kD nuclear protein designated CBP (for CREB-binding protein). CBP and p300 are homologous to each other. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:50-1:100 for 30 min at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher, Positive Control: Tonsil , Storage and Stability:, May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
