Anti-Carbohydrate Sulfotransferase (CHST4, Carbohydrate (N-acetylglucosamine 6-O) sulfotransferase 4

Human CHST4 is an N-acetylglucosamine 6-O sulfotransferase. It transfers sulfate from 3'phosphoadenosine 5'phospho-sulfate to the 6-hydroxyl group of N-acetylglucosamine on glycoproteins. CHST4 is a type II transmembrane protein and is localized to the Golgi. It is involved in the modification of glycan structures on ligands of the lymphocyte homing receptor L-selectin. Human CHST4 shares 72% aa sequence identity with the mouse ortholog. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Myeloma cells with B cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
