Anti-BTK, ID (Tyrosine-protein Kinase BTK, Bruton Tyrosine Kinase, Agammaglobulinaemia Tyrosine Kina

BTK plays a crucial role in B-cell ontogeny. This protein transiently phosphorylates GTF2I on tyrosine residues in response to B-cell receptor cross-linking. Defects in BTK are the cause of X-linked agammaglobulinemia type 1 (XLA). XLA is a humoral immunodeficiency disease which results in developmental defects in the maturation pathway of B-cells. Affected boys have normal levels of pre-B-cells in their bone marrow but virtually no circulating mature B-lymphocytes. This results in a lack of immunoglobulins of all classes and leads to recurrent bacterial infections like otitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, sinusitis or fatal sepsis or meningitis within the first years of life. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000, Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100, Immunofluorescence: 1:10-1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
