0.5mg/ml if reconstituted with 0.2ml sterile DI water. C-X-C motif chemokine 13, also known as B lymphocyte chemoattractant (BLC), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CXCL13 gene. CXCL13 is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. Its gene is mapped to human chromosome 4 in a cluster of other CXC chemokines. This protein contains 109 amino acids. It is expressed highly in the liver, spleen, lymph nodes and gut of humans. It induces chemotaxis of BLR1-expressing B cells. Protein function: Chemotactic for B-lymphocytes but not for T-lymphocytes, monocytes and neutrophils. Does not induce calcium release in B- lymphocytes. Binds to BLR1/CXCR5. [The UniProt Consortium]
