Product information "Anti-ANX13"
This gene encodes a member of the annexin family. Members of this calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein family play a role in the regulation of cellular growth and in signal transduction pathways. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined, however, it is associated with the plasma membrane of undifferentiated, proliferating endothelial cells and differentiated villus enterocytes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008], Protein function: [Isoform A]: Binds to membranes enriched in phosphatidylserine or phosphatidylglycerol in a calcium-dependent manner (PubMed:27676605, PubMed:30610115). Half-maximal membrane binding requires about 60 uM calcium. Does not bind to membranes that lack phospholipids with an acidic headgroup (PubMed:27676605). [The UniProt Consortium] Recommended dilutions: WB 1:500-2000 ELISA 1:5000-20000. Cellular localization: Apical cell membrane . Cell membrane , Lipid-anchor . Cytoplasmic vesicle . Myristoylation anchors the protein to the membrane, but the protein displays also calcium-dependent, reversible binding to lipid membranes (PubMed:30610115). Associated with the plasma membrane of undifferentiated, proliferating crypt epithelial cells as well as differentiated villus enterocytes (PubMed:1530946). .
