Product information "Anti-Androgen Receptor (AR)"
Androgen receptor (AR) belongs to the steroid hormone nuclear receptor superfamily. It functions as an androgen-dependent transcriptional factor that regulates genes for cell proliferation and differentiation. Upon binding to androgen, the androgen receptor (AR) can translocate into the nucleus and bind to androgen response element(s) to modulate its target genes. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 using ECL. An antibody raised to this peptide region has been shown to recognize the 108-110kD bands in rat ventral prostrate nuclear extracts and LNCap cells (3). , ELISA: 1:10,000-50,000 (Coat 50-100ng of control peptide , (A2281-02K)/well)., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: A2281-02K: Androgen Receptor, Rat (AR), Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
