Product information "Anti-Amyloid beta, clone 3H532"
Amyloid beta-protein/amyloid A4 or amyloid beta-peptide is derived from the amyloid beta-precursor protein. Beta amyloid is an extracellular filamentous protein deposit found in the brain. It is the major protein component of amyloid cores, neuritic plaques and is also found as a deposit in neurofibrillary tangles. In man, Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of senile dementia and is characterized by abnormal filamentous protein deposits in the brain. Beta amyloid deposits are also detected in Lewy body dementia, Down's syndrome, amyloidosis (Dutch type) and in the Guam Parkinson-Dementia complex. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemisry and Immunoprecipitation. Not suitable for Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections using formic acid for 2-3 minutes. (Detects extracellular amyloid beta with senile plaques and vessel amyloid in Alzheimer's disease brain.), Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibody: I1904-65W: IgG, F(ab')2 (HRP) Pab RbxMo, I1904-66C: IgG, F(ab')2, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab RbxMo, Recommended Positive Control Tissue: Alzheimer's disease brain, Recommended Negative Controls: I1904-78R: IgG1 Murine Negative Control, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
