Anti-Actin, alpha, Smooth Muscle (Actin, Aortic Smooth Muscle, Alpha-actin-2, Cell Growth-inhibiting

The rabbit anti-actin polyclonal antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to N-terminus of human a-smooth muscle actin. This peptide sequence is identical in rat, mouse, chicken, bovine, etc. The other actin isoforms, such as a- and g-cytoplasmic, a-skeletal, a-cardiac actins, are not stained by this antibody. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Immunoprecipitation: 5-10ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
