Product information "Anti-phospho-ATM (Ser1981) (Serine-protein Kinase ATM, Ataxia Telangiectasia Mutated, A-T Mutated) ("
ATM belongs to the PI3/PI4-kinase family. This protein is an important cell cycle checkpoint kinase that phosphorylates, thus, it functions as a regulator of a wide variety of downstream proteins, including tumor suppressor proteins p53 and BRCA1, checkpoint kinase CHK2,checkpoint proteins RAD17 and RAD9, and DNA repair protein NBS1. ATM and the closely related kinase ATR are thought to be master controllers of cell cycle checkpoint signaling pathways that are required for cell response to DNA damage and for genome stability. Mutations in the gene encoding ATM are associated with ataxia telangiectasia, an autosomal recessive disorder. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 , Dot Blot: 1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. , , Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
