This gene encodes one of four mammalian counterparts to the fruit fly 'dunce' gene. The encoded protein has 3',5'-cyclic-AMP phosphodiesterase activity and degrades cAMP, which acts as a signal transduction molecule in multiple cell types. This gene uses different promoters to generate multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode functional proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:128,000, Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml ~70+80+90kD bands observed in lysates of cell line A549. In transfected COS1 transiently expressing PDE4D1 and PDE4D3 bands of ~68kD and 95kD are observed. These bands are not observed in the untransfected COS1. In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing PDE4D2 multi bands from ~55kD-80kD are observed. These bands are not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. Calculated MW of 91.1kD according to PDE4D1 (NP_001098101.1), 76.5kD according to PDE4D2 (NP_006194.2) and 84.7kD according to PDE4D3 (NP_001159371.1). , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
