NCS1 is a member of the neuronal calcium sensor gene family, which encode calcium-binding proteins expressed predominantly in neurons. NCS1 regulates G protein-coupled receptor phosphorylation in a calcium-dependent manner and can substitute for calmodulin. This protein is thought to be associated with secretory granules and may be involved in the regulation of neurosecretion. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:50-1:100, ELISA: 1:1,000, Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100, Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
