Product information "Anti-Interleukin 10 (IL-10, Cytokine Synthesis Inhibitory Factor, CSIF)"
Interleukin10, an 18.5kD immunosuppressive cytokine originally known as cytokine synthesis inhibiting factor (CSIF), which specifically regulates immune mediated, inflammation and shares high sequence homology with murine IL10 and the viral protein BCRF1. IL10, produced by macrophages, mast cells, T cells, activated B cells and keratinocytes, inhibits the secretion of a variety of proinflammatory cytokines including TNFalpha, IL1, IL2, IL3 and IL8 and is chemotactic for CD8+ T cells. The suppressive ability of IL10 has become a focus area for the treatment of Crohn's disease, but with conflicting results. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Functional Assays, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5ug/ml, Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml, Functional Assays: 4-6ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
