Product information "Anti-Calcineurin A (CnA, Protein Phosphatase 2B, A subunit)"
Calcineurin is a heterodimer protein that binds to Ca2+. A Ca2+/calmodulin-regulated protein phosphatase, it is composed of a 19 kD calcineurin B (CnB) and a 61 kD calmodulin-binding catalytic subunit, calcineurin A (CnA). Calcineurin A was first detected in skeletal muscle and brain tissues, but it has since been found in all cell types, from yeast to mammalian. Calcineurin A may be responsible for the calmodulin activation property of calcineurin. There is evidence suggesting that alternative splicing could give rise to different forms of calcineurin A. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.05-0.2ug/ml, Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
