Cytokine. Inhibits inflammatory cytokine production. Synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis. May be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses (By similarity). (www.uniprot.org) Produced in E.coli. Single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 111 amino acids. The ED50 determined by the dose dependent prolifiration of TF-1 cells and is ~4ng/ml.
