Product information "Anti-phospho-PLB (Thr17) (PLN, PLB, Cardiac phospholamban)"
Phospholamban (PLB) is a 52 amino acid phosphoprotein which regulates the calcium pump of cardiac sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR). PLB is an oligomer of five identical subunits each having a cytoplasmic and transmembrane domain. The cytoplasmic domain (residues 1 to 25) contains the phosphorylation sites and is highly basic and readily cleaved by proteases, whereas the transmembrane domain (residues 25 to 52) is mostly hydrophobic, protease resistant and stabilizes the pentamer. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Dot Blot. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Dot Blot: 1:500, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
