Anti-XIAP (BIRC4, X-chromosome Linked Inhibitor of Apoptosis) (Biotin)

XIAP (X­chromosome linked inhibitor of apoptosis) is a member of the apoptosis (IAP) family of proteins that inhibit caspases. The BIR2 domain of XIAP inhibits caspase­3 and caspase­7. The ability of XIAP to inhibit caspases is prevented by SMAC/Diablo through binding to XIAP­BIR2 and ­BIR3 domains. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.25ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
