Product information "Anti-TYRO3 (Tyrosine-protein Kinase Receptor TYRO3, BYK, DTK, FLJ16467, RSE, SKY, Tif, Tyrosine-prot"
TYRO3 belongs to the "TAM" receptor family of receptor protein tyrosine kinases (RPTKs) composed of three receptors: TYRO3, Axl, and Mer. TYRO3 is the primary TAM receptor detected in neurons of the central nervous system (CNS). TYRO3 possess at its N-terminus two immunoglobulin-like domains (Ig domains) in the extracellular part, followed by two fibronectin-type III repeats (FNIII domains). The membrane-spanning single helix is followed by the cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase domain. TYRO3 serve as a potential modulator of postsynaptic neuronal excitability and also play a role in synaptic function in the central nervous system. The protein is widely expressed in adult tissues, being most prominent in the brain, testis, lymphatic, kidney and vascular system. The pathological role of the protein has been in variety of cancers including mammary tumors, leukemia, and non-small cell lung cancer cell lines. Human TYRO3 gene is localized in the chromosomal region 15q15.1-q21.1. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
