Product information "Anti-ROK alpha/ROCK-II (Rho-associated protein kinase 1 / Rho-associated coiled-coil containing prot"
Rho-Associated Kinase (Rho-Kinase or ROK) has been classified into two isoforms: ROKa/ROCK-II and ROKb/ROCK-I. These large cellular proteins (150-160kD), have been reported to be involved in the formation of stress fibers, focal adhesions and cardiac hypertonic responses. Current research suggests that ROK of smooth muscle may be involved in the contractile process via phosphorylation of MYPT1 and Myosin. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:5000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: RIPA lysates from PC-12 cells, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
