Anti-PPY (Pancreatic Polypeptide, Pancreatic Prohormone, PP, Obinepitide, PNP)

Pancreatic hormone is synthesized in pancreatic islets of Langerhans and acts as a regulator of pancreatic and gastrointestinal functions. The physiological role for the icosapeptide has not yet been elucidated. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:32,000, Western Blot: 1ug/ml detects a band at ~35-38kD, Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 3ug/ml shows strong cytoplasmic staining of rare cells located at the periphery of islets of Langerhans, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human pancreas tissue lysate, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
