Product information "Anti-Plexin A4"
Plexin A4 is a 195kD member of the plexin A subfamily, plexin family of proteins. It is found on sensory, autonomic and motor neurons, plus T and dendritic cells. Plexin A4 negatively regulates cell migration, activation and axon guidance, and does so by serving as a receptor for Sema6A and 6B, and as a co-receptor with neuropilin-1 and -2 for Sema3A. Mature human Plexin A4 is an 1871aa type I transmembrane glycoprotein. It contains a 1214aa extracellular domain (ECD) and a 636aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD contains one Sema-domain (aa51-482), three PSI domains (aa509-856) and four IPT regions (aa858-1230) that contain a phosphoserine at #946. There are three isoform variants. One shows a 65aa substitution for (aa458-1894), a second shows an 80aa substitution for (aa1292-1894), and a third shows the just mentioned 80aa substitution coupled to a 14aa substitution for (aa1-535). Over (aa24-1237), human Plexin A4 is 97% aa identical to mouse Plexin A4. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml. Detection limit is ~2.5ng/well for rhPlexin A4., Western Blot: 1.0ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
