Anti-PLB-T17 (PLN, PLB, Cardiac phospholamban) (Azide free) (HRP)

PLB is a 52 amino acid phosphoprotein which regulates the calcium pump of cardiac sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR). PLB is an oligomer of five identical subunits each having a cytoplasmic and transmembrane domain. The cytoplasmic domain (residues 1 to 25) contains the phosphorylation sites and is highly basic and readily cleaved by proteases, whereas the transmembrane domain (residues 25 to 52) is mostly hydrophobic, protease resistant and stabilizes the pentamer. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. , , Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
