Product information "Anti-NQO1 (NAD(P)H Dehydrogenase [Quinone] 1, Azoreductase, DT-diaphorase, DTD, QR1, Menadione Reduc"
NQO1 is a 274aa protein belonging to the NAD(P)H dehydrogenase (quinone) family. Its enzymatic activity prevents reduction of quinones that results in the production of radical species and is involved in detoxification pathways as well as in biosynthetic processes such as the vitamin K-dependent gamma-carboxylation of glutamate residues in prothrombin synthesis. It plays a role in regulating ubiquitin-independent degradation of ornithine decarboxylase by the 20S proteasome and regulates p53 proteasomal degradation in cancer. Defects in NQO1 lead to tardive dyskinesia (TD), an increased risk of hematotoxicity after exposure to benzene, susceptibility to various forms of cancer and Alzheimer's disease (AD). It is widely expressed. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000, Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 7ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
