Product information "Anti-Neuromedin B Receptor (NMBR, Neuromedin B Preferring Bombesin Receptor)"
Neuromedin B Receptor (NMBR) is an 80kD, 390aa G-protein coupled 7-transmembrane glycoprotein receptor for bombesin-like peptides, binding Neuromedin B with high affinity and GRP (gastrin releasing peptide) with lower affinity. Neuromedin B R expression in the olfactory and central thalamic regions of the brain plays a role in thermoregulation. It has also been shown to be mitogenic in colonic epithelium. Expression in the pituitary gland is important for regulation of the pituitary-thyroid axis. Within extracellular domains, human Neuromedin B R shares 86-82aa identity with mouse and rat Neuromedin B R, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml for immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human colon cancer tissue subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
