Anti-GDF6, CT (Growth/Differentiation Factor 6, GDF-6, Growth/Differentiation Factor 16, GDF16)

GDF6 is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family and the TGF-beta superfamily of secreted signaling molecules. This protein is required for normal formation of some bones and joints in the limbs, skull, and axial skeleton. Mutations in this protein result in colobomata, which are congenital abnormalities in ocular development, and in Klippel-Feil syndrome (KFS), which is a congenital disorder of spinal segmentation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:50-1:100, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
