Anti-GATA-4 (GATA4, Transcription Factor GATA-4, GATA-binding Factor 4)

Transcription factor GATA-4 is one of the zinc-finger transcription protein factor in mammals encoded by the GATA4 gene. This is a protein thought to regulate genes involved in embryogenesis and in myocardial differentiation and function. It is expressed in early mesenchymal differentiation paradigms as well. GATA-4 plays a critical role in regulating basal or stress induced gene expression in cardiac and smooth muscle cell types. Mutations in the GATA4 gene have been associated with cardiac septal defects. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human kidney, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
