Product information "Anti-COMP, ID (Cartilage Oligomeric Matrix Protein, Thrombospondin-5, TSP5)"
COMP is a noncollagenous extracellular matrix (ECM) protein. It consists of five identical glycoprotein subunits, each with EGF-like and calcium-binding (thrombospondin-like) domains. Oligomerization results from formation of a five-stranded coiled coil and disulfides. Binding to other ECM proteins such as collagen appears to depend on divalent cations. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:2000, Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:10-1:50, Flow Cytometry: 1:25, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
