Product information "Anti-CD63, CT (CD63, MLA1, TSPAN30, CD63 antigen, Granulophysin, Lysosomal-associated membrane prote"
CD63 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that is known to complex with integrins. It may function as a blood platelet activation marker. Deficiency of this protein is associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome. Also this gene has been associated with tumor progression. The use of alternate polyadenylation sites has been found for this gene. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry and ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. , Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections. Requires HIER using sodium citrate buffer pH6.0 prior to staining. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap., , Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
