Anti-CD49d (Integrin alpha4, VLA4, LHR, Lymphocyte Homing Receptor)

Human CD49d molecules are integrin a4 chains that are expressed as heterodimers with CD29 (b1 integrin) or (b7 integrin) and function as adhesion receptors. CD49d/CD29 is mainly expressed on thymocytes and B cells with increased expression on activated T cells. The ligands for CD49d/CD29 include VCAM-1 and fibronectin. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. FACS Protocol: 1. Incubate 5 x10e5 cultured HPB-MLT human tumor cells on ice for 45 minutes with 80ul of C2404-46A at 10ug/ml., 2. Washed 2x and incubated with IgG, H&L (FITC) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo., 3. Washed 3x, fixed and analyzed on a BD FACS Calibur. , 4.. Cells stained positive with a mean shift of 1.69 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgG1 negative control at a similar concentration. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
