Contains lactose or sucrose as extender (sucrose may contain up to 3.25% starch.), Unit Definition: Pancreatin will convert not less than 25 times its weight of potato starch into soluble carbohydrates in 5 minutes in water at 40°C, will digest not less than 25 times its weight of casein in 60 minutes at pH 7.5 at 40°C and will release not less than 2 microequivalents of acid per min per mg pancreatin from olive oil at pH 9.0 at 37°C. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Important Note: This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.
