HWL-088

HWL-088 is an agonist of free fatty acid receptor 1 (FFAR1/GPR40) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPARdelta). It induces calcium mobilization in CHO cells expressing human FFAR1/GPR40 (EC50 = 18.9 nM) and transactivation of PPARdelta in a reporter assay using HEK293 cells (EC50 = 570.9 nM). HWL-088 is selective for FFAR1/GPR40 and PPARdelta over PPARalpha and PPARgamma.
