SSE1806 is a microtubule destabilizer. It inhibits tubulin polymerization in a cell-free assay when used at a concentration of 10 µM. SSE1806 inhibits the growth of MCF-7 breast cancer, HCT116 colon cancer, K562 leukemia, and KB-3-1 and paclitaxel-resistant KB-V1 cervical cancer cells (GI50s = 5.02, 2.01, 17.74, 1.29, and 1.74 µM, respectively), as well as induces apoptosis and cell cycle arrest at the G2/M phase in HCT116 cells.Formal Name: 11-(3-nitrophenyl)-2,3,7,8,9,11-hexahydro-[1,4]dioxino[2,3-b]acridin-10(6H)-one.
