Roscovitine, Free Base (6-Benzylamino-2[(R)-(1'-ethyl-2'-hydroxyethylamino)]-9-isopropylpurine)

Analog of Olomoucine, formerly Cat. No. O-3590, but more potent as an inhibitor of p34cdc2 (IC50=0.2 uM). Also inhibits p33cdk2 and p33cdk5. Solubility: Prepare initial stock solutions in DMSO (soluble at 200mg/ml) or ethanol (soluble at 200mg/ml) for in vitro use, solubility in water is low, Melting Point: 101.5-105ºC, Storage and Stability: May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
