Anti-phospho-Arrestin-1 beta (Ser412), clone 3A14

Beta-arrestin 1 is a member of the arrestin family, which has been implicated in mediating the desensitization and internalization of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR). Beta-arrestin 1 is constitutively phosphorylated by Erk1/2 at serine 412 of the C-terminus and localized in the cytosol. When recruited to the plasma membrane after agonist stimulation of the beta2-adrenergic receptors, beta-arrestin 1 is rapidly dephosphorylated. This dephosphorylation is an essential step of beta-arrestin 1-mediated receptor endocytosis, but it is not required for receptor desensitization. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:100. Incubate membrane with diluted antibody in 5% BSA, 1X TBS, 0.1% Tween-20 at 4°C with gentle shaking, overnight., Immunoprecipitation: 1:50, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
