FluoSite Anti-GPC3 Antibody, PE-Labeled

This human anti-GPC3 (glypican 3) antibody is a purified monoclonal antibody, which is labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE). This antibody has been tested by flow cytometry for specific binding to human GPC3 on the surface of a GPC3-expressing CHO Cell Line (BPS Bioscience #78100). FluoSite(TM) is a tag-based method for site-specific conjugation of antibodies with fluorophores, ensuring the labeling site is far from the antigen-binding domain to preserve antibody functionality. This precise, consistent labeling ensures the homogeneity of the labeled antibody preparation, making it ideal for flow cytometry and other high-sensitivity applications. GPC3, also known as Glypican-3 and OCI5, belongs to the glypican family and is highly expressed in the lungs, liver and kidneys. Its function is tissue dependent and can either promote or suppress tumorigenesis. Being a heparin sulfate proteoglycan, it is overexpressed in neoplasms including malignant melanoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, and testicular yolk sac tumors and plays a significant role in cell growth and differentiation. GPC3 has become an attractive target in cancer therapy, with therapeutic strategies ranging from ADCs (antibody drug conjugates), CAR (chimeric antigen receptor)-T cells, bispecific antibodies, and others, being considered.
