Involved in mRNA splicing, via spliceosome and spermatogenesis. Located in nuclear speck. Part of U2-type catalytic step 2 spliceosome and U2-type precatalytic spliceosome. Implicated in connective tissue disease. Protein function: Involved in pre-mRNA splicing as component of the spliceosome (PubMed:11991638, PubMed:28502770, PubMed:28781166, PubMed:28076346, PubMed:27035939, PubMed:32494006).
