Product information "Anti-Trypsin 1 (PRSS1)"
Trypsin 1, also known as cationic trypsinogen, contains a signal peptide (aa1-15), a pro region (aa16-23), and a mature chain (aa24-247). Trypsin 1 is synthesized in the pancreas and secreted into the duodenum lumen, where it is activated by enterokinase. Its major physiologic function is to digest food and to activate other pro-enzymes by cleaving peptide bonds after arginine or lysine. Mutations in Trypsin 1 can cause hereditary pancreatitis. The amino acid sequence of human Trypsin 1 is 79% identical to that of mouse. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Direct ELISA. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot (Colormetric): 1-2ug/ml. The detection limit is ~25ng/lane under non-reducing conditions. Reducing conditions are not recommended. Chemiluminescent detection is recommended to increase sensitivity., Immunoprecipitation: 25ug/ml precipitates rhTrypsin 1. We recommended to use the polyclonal antibody, T8669-60, for Western Blot detection after IP., Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml. The detection limit is ~3ng/well. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. , , Hybridoma: , NSO myeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice. , , Storage and Stability: , Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
