Product information "Anti-TNFb"
0.5mg/ml if reconstituted with 0.2ml sterile DI water. Lymphotoxin (previously known as tumor necrosis factor-beta) is a lymphokine cytokine. It is a protein that is produced by Th1 type T-cells and induces vascular endothelial cells to change their surface adhesion molecules to allow phagocytic cells to bind to them. Lymphotoxin is homologous to Tumor Necrosis Factor beta, but secreted by T-cells. TNF-beta is also important for the development of lymphoid organs. Protein function: Cytokine that in its homotrimeric form binds to TNFRSF1A/TNFR1, TNFRSF1B/TNFBR and TNFRSF14/HVEM (PubMed:9462508). In its heterotrimeric form with LTB binds to TNFRSF3/LTBR. Lymphotoxin is produced by lymphocytes and is cytotoxic for a wide range of tumor cells in vitro and in vivo. [The UniProt Consortium]
