TIMP3 (tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 3), along with family members TIMP1, TIMP2, and... more
Product information "Anti-Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinases 3 (TIMP Metallopeptidase Inhibitor 3, TIMP3, TIMP-3)"
TIMP3 (tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases 3), along with family members TIMP1, TIMP2, and TIMP4, are inhibitors of the matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), a group of peptidases involved in degradation of the extracellular matrix (ECM). An imbalance between MMPs and the associated TIMPs may play a significant role in the invasive phenotype of malignant tumors. TIMP's inhibit the proteolytic invasiveness of tumor cells and normal placental trophoblast cells. TIMP-3 may be involved in regulating trophoblastic invasion of the uterus as well as in regulating remodeling of the extracellular matrix during the folding of epithelia, and in the formation, branching and expansion of epithelial tubes. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 0.5-1ug/10e6 cells, Immunofluorescence: 1-2ug/ml, Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1-2ug/ml/30min @ RT, Immunoprecipitation: 1-2ug/500ug protein lysate, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Placenta or breast carcinoma, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
